Program Details
The 50-hour Handstand and Movement Flow Teacher Training program by Adiyogam is especially designed to balance your creative exploration with structured learning. Every day has three sessions in it, mornings for intensive asana practice and technical training, afternoons dedicated to the workshops and development of the skill, and then the evenings focused on theory, teaching methodologies, and group reflection.

Adiyogam Yoga School, Arambol, Goa – Tucked between the lush palm trees and has a vibrant community of passionate yoga practitioners.
Morning (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM):
Strength, handstand practice and mobility.
Afternoon (3:00 PM – 5:30 PM):
Transition workshops, creative movement and flow movement skill practice.
Evening (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM):
Teaching methodologies, real-time feedback, guided reflection, and partner work.

Handstand Training (35 Hours)

Alignment & Line Work
Learn the fundamentals of acing the perfect handstand. Along with this, know why stacking your joints and engaging the right muscles is important in handstands.

Anatomy of Balance
Understand the biomechanics of inversions. Explore what keeps you up and pulls you down and how the micro adjustments affect the most during a headstand.

Strength & Conditioning
Slowly build the physical resilience in your body, required for a headstand. This can be done through targeted drills for wrists, core, and shoulders.

Flexibility & Mobility
Enhance your range of motion in the hips, spine, shoulders, and hamstrings in order to create a sustainable entry into inversions.

Awareness & Breathing Techniques
Learn breathing awareness to foster better focus and calmness in your body. This is required if you are in an intimidating space of being upside down.

Wrist Health & Injury Prevention
Practice special warm ups and stretching asanas for protecting your wrists from getting injured and keeping your practice away from pain.

Weight Shifting & Transitions
Learn to transition from the static holds to dynamic flow. Also understand how to shift weights in between hands so that you are familiar with freedom within balance.
